All Things are Possible

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

When two blind men came to Jesus, crying out for mercy, Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” (Matthew 9:28) Jesus wanted them to examine their faith and ask themselves “Do I believe Jesus can restore my sight? Do I believe Jesus can do this?

Whenever we face trials of any kind, we are faced with this same question from Jesus, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

What is it that is weighing on your mind? What is it that has you concerned? What is it that needs to be resolved or restored? Do you believe Jesus is able to restore what was lost? Do you believe can make a way when no way seems possible? (Exodus 14:29-31)

In the case of the two blind men who Jesus asked, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”, they answered “Yes, Lord.” They believed Jesus was able to restore what was lost. As a result they received their sight, not because Jesus was able, but because they believed Jesus was able. (Philippians 4:29-30) Their faith in Jesus to restore what they had lost made all the difference in their situation. (Mark 9:23; Matthew 13:58)

What have you lost that needs to be restored? A job? Do you believe God can provide a new source of income that will supply for all your needs? Are you searching for a new place to live? Do you believe God can direct you to the perfect place to live that will meet all your needs? Whatever you need restored, be it your marriage, health, or anything else, as you step out in faith trusting God to provide, somehow, someway, you can be sure God will provide. “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) All we are called to do is trust Him. He will be faithful to take care of the rest.
